Black Bob Elementary
Good Bears of the World
Den's Purpose and Objectives

The Good Bears of the World recycling project was founded on the belief that there is strength in numbers and that we can achieve more together to make this world a better place.

Our school's (den's) goal is to collect aluminum cans that will be sent weekly to a recycling center.  Profits from our environmental awareness efforts will go to the funding of Teddy Bears.  The financing of one bear is like the drip of water that wears away the stone, and like the persistent drip, we believe that we will make a difference.

Our goal is to put the comfort of a Teddy Bear into the hearts and arms of any student and/or
family member in need.  Teddy Bears are good listeners, patient, rarely critical and wonderful to hug.  Thus, it is our goal to provide as many Teddy Bears as possible to those most needful of his comfort and love.

To support out efforts, please send your child, throughout the year, with aluminum cans.  Five recycling bins have been placed in various areas (each wet area and the cafeteria).  If you have a need for a bear to be sent, please see the Good BEars of the World box Located in Mrs. Crooks' room.
